Druski Was Understandably Rattled After Birdman Confronted Him On Instagram Live

Well, that was awkward! 

As most of you know, Cash Money Records is the label created by Ronald and Bryan Williams, better known as “Slim” and “Birdman”. This record label saw one of the greatest runs by any artist in recent memory, the one they call Lil’ Wayne. I’ll go as far as saying that he’s is the primary reason that Cash Money Records is where they are today, he was their big break. The guy went on an absolute tear from ~1999 onward but damn near harpooned his career when he did this:

 
Lil’ Wayne is (was? are they beefing?) Birdman’s protegé and basically a son to him, hence the ballad they made together called “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy”. 
To be clear, Birdman isn’t really his dad, but they’re so closely bonded that they french kiss from time to time, as friends often do.
 

Anyway, Druski started a record label, because of course he did. Why not? He knows everyone across multiple industries and he’s blown up in recent years, may as well strike while the iron’s hot. It’s called “Coulda Been Records”. There’s just one problem.  

He copied the Cash Money Records logo. 

Visibly shaken on that call, but wouldn’t you be? Stammering and stunned, this had to be a humbling moment. As it turns out, copying a logo and infringing on one’s livelihood is a direct breach of the unspoken code of ethics and Birdman did NOT take very kindly to it. Druski is a comedian, most everything he does is satire but Birdman was not amused by him pulling this gag and he sure as shit let him know. Plus, is it really a gag if he’s signing actual artists, like Jack Harlow? Druski was apologetic and claimed he was going to share the spoils with Birdman some way or another, but Birdman just hung up on him. WOOF. Druski abruptly ended the video after that and presumably cried for several hours/tried to reach out. Never meet your heroes! I hope everything gets smoothed over – Druski is a career jokester but Birdman doesn’t appear to be in the business of playing silly-goose games.
