For Some Reason, The Colorado State Head Coach Shit On Deion Sanders And Threw Gasoline On The Fire

MORE SHOTS AT COACH PRIME: Colorado State Head Coach Jay Norvell Takes SHOTS at Deion Sanders and Colorado “When I talk to grownups, I take my hat and glasses off, that’s what my mother taught me” #CUBuffs pic.twitter.com/IWFWkVKqsS

As if Colorado football wasn’t already must-watch television, Deion Sanders is catching shrapnel from Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell leading up to their in-state rivalry game against Colorado State. This morning, Norvell decided it wise to start a press conference by shitting on Deion for *checks notes* wearing sunglasses and a hat when he addresses the media.

What year is it? You gotta be one of the biggest try-hard losers to really care about something like this, much less say it out loud in a public forum. The thought that he has a holier-than-thou mentality about something that has absolutely nothing to do with him is weird to me, especially when he’s 3-11 through his first 14 games at Colorado State. Weirdo behavior.

There’ll certainly be lots of eyes on this game and not because of Colorado State. I can understand hyping up the game, it’s probably the biggest of Norvell’s career, but he’s shooting himself in the pecker with these comments. People will be tuning in just to see just how bad Deion runs it up on him. Casual folk that didn’t have plans to  watch the game will now do so to see Jay Norvell get embarrassed, all because he had to get naughty on the mic.

I already know how this is gonna play out, it’s too easy. These comments give Colorado and Deion that much more incentive to wax them by 100 and piss on their graves. When that happens, when the team and Deion celebrate in everyone’s faces, there will be that much more reason for losers in the media or Jay Norvell to talk about a lack of class or some other bullshit.

Why’s everybody so mad at Deion anyway? He’s brazen and confident and he’s gonna do things his own way, but he’s Deion Sanders. We already knew all of those things about him. The fact of the matter is what he’s done in two weeks of live football typically takes other coaches two years, so maybe it’s jealousy. People are trying like hell to grasp at straws and find something wrong with what Deion is doing but it’s just coming off as desperate and lame. He’s completely flipped the switch on what was a dormant football program prior to his arrival and I guess that’s polarizing for some. Like him or hate him, everyone can’t stop talking about Colorado football and he’s turned them into a team that college football fans can’t look away from.

Make sure you’re in front of the TV at 10:00 PM EST on Saturday night for this one. Colorado has been pounding their opponents into dust so far and Colorado State seems like they’re up next.
